Mosquito island avoidance

The Szúnyog Island is located 4 km northwest of Győr on the Mosoni-Dunan, in a wild and scenic setting. The hidden world of the island, dotted with holiday homes and boat harbours, is a delight to admire on your way. Depending on the water level, it is also possible to circumnavigate the island.

The Moson Danube water level control structure and navigation lock is a facility located 15 kilometres from Győr at the mouth of the river. The lock is a boat passage to the "big" Danube. Lock and Burger tour to the Gönyű Pit buffet

Sailing along the Moson Danube, we will exit to the Danube through the Venesian lock, where we will continue our journey to the port of the Gödör buffet on the banks of the Danube in Gönyű. The waterfront restaurant offers hamburgers, other delicacies and homemade lemonade with a magnificent view of the Danube. The price of the programme does not include food and drinks at the cave buffet!

The programme includes a 2-hour visit to the Pit buffet. The programme is available on weekdays only. Departure time is 10:30 from Red Water harbour. Return to Győr around 16:00.
